• Arja van Veldhuizen, programme coordinator Education for ‘Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht’ (heritage institution in the Utrecht Province) and CECA Board member

In a mixture of lectures and workshops Ernst and Arja will invite the participants to look at different ways to fulfill visitors needs. The recently renovated Dutch Maritime Museum offers some great examples of an unusual audience oriented approach. What can we learn from this and how can we make it useful in a Croatian context?
In the afternoon we look at the different positions in the museum and how each discipline can contribute to a museum well appreciated by its visitors. Finally we will have a closer look at the different methods that can be used in museum education – what works best for whom?
