On May 18th, museums all around the world will join ICOM to celebrate\u00a0International Museum Day 2020<\/a>,\u00a0which reaches this year\u00a0its 42nd anniversary.<\/p>\n

With the theme ‘Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion<\/a>‘, IMD 2020 aims at becoming a rallying point to both celebrate the different perspectives that make up the museum communities, and champion tools for identifying and overcoming bias in what they display and the stories they tell.<\/p>\n

Following the COVID-19 outbreak and the subsequent lockdowns, we decided to provisionally\u00a0adapt the format and focus on\u00a0digital activities<\/a>. Alongside, please remember\u00a0that you are welcome to later\u00a0organize your on-site activities\u00a0between November 14 and 16, 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Please download, below this message, all\u00a0the materials and tools that ICOM’s Communications Department has prepared for you, in order to\u00a0promote your activities\u00a0while helping us spread\u00a0the message inherent to this year’s theme.\u00a0We\u00a0encourage you\u00a0to prompt all museums in your\u00a0countries to use these\u00a0contents\u00a0as well.<\/p>\n
