Mark Leslie studied architecture at Jesus College, Cambridge and the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. He founded LFA Architects in 1985 and in 1986 Martello Media, a pioneering firm of Narrative Architects. His entirely drawing board-less, computer-based design studio won the Gold Medal of the British Computer Society in 1988. In 1992 he left London to restructure LFA Architects in Ireland as Martello Media. Martello combine architects, researchers, exhibition designers, filmmakers, computer programmers, and lighting experts in a single design team to create immersive narrative spaces.<\/p>\n
Martello\u2019s work can be seen at many of Ireland\u2019s most popular cultural attractions including National Library, the Cliffs of Moher and the Guinness Storehouse. In 2010 Martello won the Bronze Medal of the Bureau International des Exposition for their work at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai. Martello won the Kenneth Hudson Prize at the 2012 European Museum of the Year Awards for the Glasnevin Museum at Ireland\u2019s National Necropolis. Recent work includes: Life on Line in National Media Museum in England, ‘Winston Churchill – The Power of Words’ in the Morgan Library in New York. Currently Mark is master planning a science museum in Malta and an immersive visitor centre for Florence.<\/p>\n
