{"id":3640,"date":"2011-11-23T11:16:20","date_gmt":"2011-11-23T11:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.icom-croatia.hr\/mission-and-goals\/"},"modified":"2011-11-23T11:16:20","modified_gmt":"2011-11-23T11:16:20","slug":"mission-and-goals","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.icom-croatia.hr\/en\/about-us\/mission-and-goals\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission and Goals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Goals and objectives of the Croatian National Committee of ICOM are promoting cooperation, mutual assistance and exchange of information between members and in particular:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 supporting and promoting the goals and objectives of ICOM among museum professionals and museums in the Republic of Croatia, and contributing to the realization of ICOM program\u00a0 in Croatia<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 promoting membership of ICOM among museum professionals and museums in Croatia<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0maintaining communication between ICOM and its members in Croatia<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ensuring the enforcement and protection of ICOM&#8217;s interests in Croatia and interests of members at the headquarters of ICOM,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Cooperation with the International Committees of ICOM and other international organizations which have links with the museum profession and museum institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Croatian National Committee of ICOM is a forum for museum professionals that advocates an open and democratic approach to museum professionalism, taking care to inform its members about the activities of the International Council of Museums, and providing assistance in the performance of museum work.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose and activities of the Croatian National Committee of ICOM is to promote and represent the interests of members,\u00a0 museums and museum activities in Croatia and in particular to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 organize meetings of experts and ICOM&#8217;s committees whose work is in the interests of museum activities in Croatia,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 support all forms of professional development, international exchanges and visits of museum professionals,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 achieve the objectives and tasks of the National Committee under Article 2 of statutes,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 support and promote the goals and recommendations of ICOM among museum professionals and museums in the Republic of Croatia,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 support publishing programs<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 encourage museum professionals and museums in the Republic of Croatia to become members of ICOM,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 cooperate with the international committees\u00a0 and other national committees as well as other international museum organizations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Croatian National Committee of ICOM shall take all necessary steps to establish and maintain cooperative and consultative relationship with UNESCO.
